Impromptu is a popular speech event that is similar to SPAR, as competitors have to think on their feet and construct a five minute speech on the spot. This may seem daunting, but is actually a great event for beginners! It doesn’t require much preparation, isn’t content heavy, and overall is very fun. Give it a shot!
